Trading in. 2018 white stock 27k miles

Dealership offered me 38k.

I wanted 40k so they advised me to get a estimate from CarMax and they would price match.

CarMax offered 35k.

38k sounded great after that.

Oh well, it's gotta go.

Just thought I'd share.

Yeah, but the dealer will probably list it for over 40. Not bad for 2 years old vehicle, considering the 18s went for around 46.

Thats really not that bad, hoping the '19's hold a little better with the Fox setup, moonroof and JBL.

Far cry from when I bought my 17 for $42 and sold it for $45 but it was cement.

FWIW I just bought a 2019 voodoo blue with <2k miles from FL for ~$44,200 before TTL

You are trading it in so depending on the state you are also getting a tax benefit on the next car in which you don’t have to pay taxes on the trade-in value. In NY that would be about a 41.3k private party sales value.

Throw it into the Vroom site. I've got very strong offers from them in the past.

That sounds like a really good number for a trade-in. You do realize it is 2 years old now and has 27k miles right? Dealer will probably ask $3-4k more when they try to sell it.

There's a huge difference between resale value and trade in value, the dealership has to make money on your trade and will sell it in the mid 40's, they will never pay you that

38K for trade in sounds fair to me.
Should have gone private party if you were looking for top dollar.

For a non limited color 38k is an awesome deal for a trade in.... not sure what you are complaining about? Especially when I bought my Cav Pro for 42k, I would take 38k for it bone stock.

Exactly. I was offered a Cav blue for $42K as well. $38k is spot on with KBB trade value for a vehicle in excellent condition with $27k. A $4,000 hit for a 2 year old vehicle with 27K on it? That is an excellent trade value. Buy a $45K BMW and you’ll get around $20K trade after 2 years. I just picked up a Voodoo Blue Pro for $44K. If I can get $40k trade in 2 years, that would be pretty sweet. The new Tesla isn’t going to hold it’s value any where close to that.

Tesla Model X long range! All options except performance (ludicrous). White on tan with the black 22's, 7 seater config.

Selling my pedal commander and ronnieboyfab Amber grill lights (3 piece) if anyone is interested.

Way to go Green, I want to get one when I'm 50.

The demand isn't what it used to be. I've had 6 trd pros. Quicksand,red,cement,2 calvary and black.

My wife got sick of them so she wanted a 19 Sequoia Trd Sport.

I got 10,000 off the Sequoia and 40,500 for an 18 black trd pro with 10,000 miles on it. Also got the sales tax credit on trade. I was surprised i got 40,500 since it's not a rare color.

Sequoia is a tank compared to the 4runner. I loved trd pros at 41k but not 51k.
