So, you're saying TRD wheels are becoming overplayed and no longer unique? I could have predicted the back order based on how many non-trd pro 4runners I've seen with them lately...

I had them on for a few months - in reality, it's a great looking wheel for sure. I just hated how everyone in CO has them.

The trd black wheels are on a stop sale due to low inventory. The gray are still available in my area. Snagged a set today and having them powder coated matte black tomorrow.

Not all will, but if it does it is usually on the front fender liner. This is why TRD pro's are trimmed at port.

Toyota's TRD parts site states that the TRD wheels are intended to be used with the stock Duelers or Dunlops, presumably because with these tires, there's no rubbing and no need to trim ( these tires have narrower section width than the stock Nitto's that come on the TRDP).

I thought everyone with trd pro wheels had bfg ko2s on them - i wasnt necessarily trying to jump on the bandwagon but that combo is downright nasty looking i love em - its like a totally different truck but they feel the same as stock duelers

TRD Pro Wheel Alternatives?

I ordered an Off Road Premium with the black TRD wheels almost eight weeks ago. It is due for delivery early next week and the dealer just let me know that I can't get the TRD wheels owing to the stop sale order. I'm seriously ticked about it so I am looking for options to which I can hold the dealer.

They only told me after I inquired about the price on a TRD skid plate that I intend to modify to fit KDSS and was told that they can no longer order TRD accessories except for the Pro.
This is my first new car in the last 15 years and I intend to do keep my T4R at least that long so I want quality.
Powder coat the Premiums?
Have them buy after markets?
Any suggestions?

Pretty sure you can get the TRD gunmetal grey ones.. the dealer that I'm getting my Pro from has been making the faux Pro's that are ORP's with them

Who cares how many people have them :gun6:. I have them on my copycat TRD Bro, didn't like many of the aftermarket options when revamping the whip with new shoes. Maybe in other parts of the country, but here SoCal I rarely see them on 5th gens. Seen more of them on Taco's. :shrug:

I'd go with the FNs. Better offset. Lighter, Wider and you can make your own TRD center caps.

Those look great. Any indication as to how they compare to the OEM quality and durability? I'll likely be putting them to the test in your neck of the woods btw.
