TRD Pro roof rack - worth it or not?

I have an opportunity to get a TRD Pro rack (tubular/FJ style) locally. I had and sold a Front Runner 3/4 rack that was on the 4R when I bought it, and now have factory rails only.

Is the Pro rack an upgrade at all, or not really? Looking for real world use case please. I know about Prinsu, Victory, Gobi, blah blah but don't want those. Just considering this TRD rack to make my 4R look a bit different from 98% of other 4R in my area.

Pricing opinions are welcome too. Area is southeast/NC, but all price info is welcome and valuable.

I've seen a few in my area priced on CL or offer up at $400, buyer would accepted $300. I decided to pass on it a few weeks ago and it is still for sale. I painted the stock rails a matte black to match the wheels. I'd probably use a roof rack once or twice a year, so its mainly for looks. If its still up for sale I may offer $250 . Its a niche market for it

No. They are worthless and look horrible. I also feel they are adding to the horrible mpg as they are almost like a sail up top.

I have decided to pass on the TRD Pro rack... I am already considering this if I can't locate a Trail edition rack.
