TRD struts with 5100s

Is anyone running the TRD struts with the 5100s (tundra) on the lowest perch? If they are, could you please give me a measurement from the wheel arch to center of axle. Everyone is telling me to use this setup but I think it's going to give me too much lift as I don't want to have to do a diff. drop.

I'll trade you my trd springs with bilstein hd's

From what I have read you only get 2 inches with the setup I have, hd bilsteins on trd springs, but yours could be as much as 4 and at the lowest 3. Either way most people say with anything in the three range you'd want a diff drop.

I have the stock Tundra Bilstein HDs with the TRD springs, non adjustable. They lifted me just under 2 inches. You will get the same amount of lift if you leave the 5100s on the lowest perch, give or take an 1/8" or so. You will not need a diff drop. The diff drop is debatable anyway, with some saying yes you need it, and others saying no.

under 2" on your 98 is like 3" on my low ridin 01. Can you give me a measurement on yours to center of wheel to fender flare.

Thanks Millerad! That's what I was looking for. So you are on the lowest perch and you are at about 22". That's about in the range I wanted. I'm at 19.75" now and was looking for about 21.5" in front but I don't think that will happen. I just don't want to be replacing CV joints all the time. Are you running 5100s in the rear also? How do you like the ride? I have the 906s and I just bought a pair of TRD front springs so now I need to order the shocks.

I am running the OME 60028 comfort shocks with 906s in the rear. The rides isn't bad, stiff, but not jarrnig. I came from a 2001 Dodge Ram, so I'm used to a rougher ride. The shocks help keep the rear planted on turns/corners. I would assume the Billy5125s in the back would be similar to what I have. There are a bunch of guys running them, they may be able to answer better about them.

I am

on a 00' limited. The TRD coils & tundra 5100s on the first perch result in 2"s in front end lift with 906s with 10mm trim packs in back. Looks good and rides great.

I'm running Tundra TRD's and 5100's on the second perch. I don't have a diff drop and haven't had any problems after 8 months of being lifted. You will be more than fine with the lowest perch and the second if you decide you want more lift.
