Are you happy with your TRDPRO or do you think your money would have been
better spent on a Trail or TEP?

Very happy with our TRDP. Love the look and factory mods to the truck.

We had a 2010 4runner SR5 I lifted and put bigger tires on. It looked cool but it never drove and felt as tight as the stock setup did. I got a clunk in the suspension when I hit potholes and uneven pavement that me or my local mechanic could not get rid of, just annoyed the shit out of me.

Bought the TRDP, it's my wifes daily driver during the week. Not modding it, tires and suspension setup are just fine for our needs. Gonna drive it till the wheels fall of.

As far as do I think money would have been better spent on a Trail. Wife picked out this one in the color she wanted, she knew this was the one. Shes happy and you know the rest.

I've been in mine just over 2 months. It's fantastic! It comes with everything you need (except push button start and HIDs) and all the right colors. In the past, I bought a Subaru WRX, but really wanted the STI. I spent all my money trying to make my WRX a different car. So this time I saved a little more and got the TRD pro and couldn't be happier. All 4runners are awesome, capable, vehicles. Just depends on what you will use it for. Test drive a couple and see which one you prefer. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Just more good info on PRO funny how similar some of the members are to my likes. Before ordering a PRO had an order for the WRX STI but thought the newer WRX with some mods would be the better car. Likewise change that for a Trail Premium with KDSS but thought the money better spent on a PRO. Just need to reorder now should it be a 16 or new 17 in Cement?

You can't go wrong with either. The cement color is cool for sure.

I guess because not everyone has a bazillion posts and years experience with a 4Runner?
Maybe because they need another opinion beside stealer and Toyota brochures?:hunter:

The search tool is pretty handy. On the one hand I understand not being familiar and wanting to search for answers in general and not knowing where to turn to, but on the other this has been discussed ad nauseam. :deadhorse: Seeing it over and over gets old.

Some time using the search bar really is the way to go. Just a few examples below. The search bar is your friend

No auto headlights on the Trails ;-)

This.

Seemingly small detail, but that was a real big deal for me. Having prior vehicles with auto headlights as opposed to auto shut off like Mazda (dim instrument during day if lights left in the ON position) this is one big reason why I picked Pro vs Trail. Plus I don't like sunroofs, but like softex. So for me, it was nearly perfect setup. Only thing I'm not sure about is whether I wanted KDSS.

I test drove a TEP and the PRO. I like what the PRO has setup stock compared to the TEP and KDSS wasn't a deal breaker for me. Also everyone where I live has a SR5, Trail or TEP and I wanted to be different I have only seen 2 other PRO's in my area Quicksand and MGM and like Good Nite said their bad ass!!!

Two of my best friends have a 2015 and 2016 TEP, and they are great. My TRDP is also great, but has a color that I like more, and no sunroof, which I prefer. Other than that, the exterior "looks neat" stuff is nice to have, because it looks neat.
