Looks like a great build and a great gathering!
As the new owner of a new TRD Pro, I'm wanting to paint the grey Toyota letters on the front and the chrome 4Runner and Toyota badge on the rear red. Any idea how the owner of the TRD Pro at the far right of the 4th pic did this? I would be much obliged for more information on this.

I think he said it was a red vinyl... he posted a close up on the TRD page. Nice guy... I'm sure he'd walk you through if you reached out. I'm eventually going to cover the chrome in the back to match the TRD on the sides. I'm ok with the front as it's just enough contrast for me on the nose. Best,

For starters, I have the sliding tray which makes it level back there. Then I bought the KRACO rubber mat that is 3.5' x 6' for $30 or so and it fit beautifully!
Bought it at auto zone, but many here have found it online too. Works great for full loads.
Any link to the mat? I cant seem to find it online

Others have found it for about $29 online. Can't find it either at the moment.

I have a question about the handling on road... I've been reading as much as I can on the new 4Runner, and the consensus is that KDSS equipped models have far less body roll and weight transfer than non-KDSS models, and thus KDSS models handle much better on road...
That being said, these tests were done with the SR5 being the non-KDSS models...
I could have sworn in the TRD Pro thread you made a comparison between the KDSS 5th gen and your new TRD Pro but I cannot find that page with your post right now...
My question to you is, if you have had time behind the wheel of a KDSS equipped model prior to your TRD Pro, how does the TRD Pro compare to the KDSS equipped model with regards to cornering and body roll?
I want a TRD Pro... But if its comparable in corners to the SR5, then I may consider the Trail Premium...

I test drove the TEP about 3-4 times before the TRD was delivered. Honest answer is that I was impressed by the KDSS in hairpin turns and 360 exit ramps, etc. Stayed planted! BUT, in all other modes of driving it was not noticeable compared to my TRD. At first, I really had to have KDSS period. Then the TRD came out w/o it and I was upset. I've adjusted and now don't mind not having it. In fact, it's one less thing to worry about underneath. No flames... just personal opinion. My TRD feels like a truck and I like it! IF KDSS and less sway/roll is of utmost importance to you, then yes, get the TEP. You CAN feel a diff, but it's not "end of the world" diff. YMMV. I'm a perfect example of one that HAD to have it and now I'm still alive and happy w/o it. Love my TRD even without it... still very happy! Hope it helps you coming from one that has compared both. What kind of running boards are those? They look nice.

I believe they are in his parts list in post #1. Most of us that do a build thread either maintain a list there or in our sig lines.

Thanks man, I appreciate your nice comments and glad it inspired you on some level. I truly love this beast the more & more I'm in it. It has so many uses and I keep finding more all the time. No regrets at all.
I went through TrailDuty and highly recommend them. Awesome service and quick responses every time! The ladder is a little tricky to get on, but fits really snug with a few bolts and pressure clamps at the bottom and a couple up top. Love the ladder... It does add some weight to the door, so I recommend getting the upgraded supports to hold it open firmly. I've had a ton of looks and comments on this rig around town with a few saying..."Is that some sort of armored truck?" I like the stealthy, bold look of the black, but certainly not for everyone!
