TRDPRORUNNER - Build

Got around to installing the LED lights interior swap. Best $20 mod! Nice to have a mod for once that's not upwards of a grand or two! Plenty of other great pics from others that show the same, so I won't duplicate their efforts, but thanks to those for their insight on parts and info. Recommend this cheap mod to everyone!

Cleaned her up... AGAIN!

I love the Attitude Black, but next time I think I'll just special order the "Desert Dust Metallic".

I'll just wait for some rain and run through some puddles to wash mine. My OCD is with that one side is dirtier than the other side.

Love your 4R it looks so good!

I'm in Canada and really want the S/T Maxx tires. We have cold winters with plenty of snow & ice. Wondering if anyone has an feedback on these tires in winter conditions?

I've searched and can't find anything.

Thanks!

Thanks Jhalko... my sentiments exactly! For those that need to get up there from time to time, the ladder is indispensable! Appreciate your input...

My Stealth and ladder was ordered two weeks ago. I absolutely am diggin the way your rig looks. I am not a fan of the Pro wheels like everyone else is but like you said earlier to each his own. I actually got a good deal on some trail wheels so I am good. I used my ARB rack all the time on my FJ. Still tossing the idea around about getting the TRD Pro Skid plate and painting the TRD stamped to match the truck. Yes I know it is a skid plate and will get trashed but I don't wheel that crazy anyway in my 4Runner. Just need some LED's and I will be finished for a while.

Appreciate it! Well, I wish I could report about snow conditions but have only been in light snow so far. However, I just did a pretty good desert run with plenty of rocks and such and the tires took a beating and never complained! From slow crawls to about 50 mph cutting through some fairly rough stuff at times. I personally love these tires even though they're heavy. They definitely offer a tougher carcass that let's you play a bit harder without worry.

All the best...

You mentioned a few times about your mpg. What are you getting

With the Gobi rack and the Coopers on there, I lost about 2-2.5 mpg's. I was expecting a hit, so not too upset. I wanted a truck that could take a beating out in the rough desert and tow my trailer with planted feet.

I'd say that on a flat highway run I can get 18-19. In the city stop & go, I get about 15.5-16.5

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the good words! You won't regret the GOBI. I just climbed up there yesterday and another driver followed me up. we were both standing with no problems as long as we stayed on the cross supports. He loved it so much when he got up there, he's going to order one. I need LED's as well and then I'm done too.

Send a pic or 2. I had dinner on the riverwalk several months ago... good times.

Thank you for your input. Appreciated! I ordered them today, as well as the TRD wheels. I can't wait!!

Great looking vehicle. I want to do almost the same exact mods that you have done so far. Tint was my first, I actually made the appointment for the next day while I was signing the paperwork. I love that console, any pictures of it installed?

Thanks man! I'm also inspired by many here as well. Yeah, tint is always my first mod... I bought mine 1300 miles from home. Made my tint appt while driving home 18hrs and went straight to my appt. It was insane, but had a trip deadline to make! The console is awesome and a must IMO. I don't have pics of it since they are already plenty here to see. Just do a quick search for "console vault" and you'll see some good ones! That's where I got the itch to do it.

Nice looking truck and keep me posted on the progress! Thx for chiming in...

Unexpected Snow Day!

Had a little fun with the snow today. Didn't even know it was in the forecast.

Those TRD PRO's look too nice to drive when they're all clean and shiny. I'd want to just put it in a glass box with red rope around it.

Loving this ride...HELP

HI ALL. I'm digging this build and I am picking up my Black TRDP in Phoenix Saturday. I will do some MODS like the Gobi Stealth, light bar and side rails. More importantly though, did anyone figure out the clunking noise that so many TRDP owners are having? It's got me worried since I will be paying close to 44k when all said and done..TAXES for Ca suck. Should I really just consider the 2015 TEP w/ KDSS?

I have a lift kit in my pants after seeing these photos!

Totally badass. I knew you were a photographer. This is probably a great time of year to have that thing out in the desert.

Thanks for the great ideas for mods. I'm scheduled to take ownership of mine this Saturday.

I hear ya! Rather than drive myself crazy keeping it clean ALL the time. I'm sort of doing 3-4 weeks really clean... and then when it rains or gets dirty... THEN, it's game on and I just go crazy off-road, puddles, etc. That way, I enjoy both worlds to the fullest.
