TRDPRORUNNER - Build

Cool stuff

Your build is awesome and your photography even better. Isn't it time to bring that front end up a little bit........

Appreciate it... Yeah, the front is bugging me. It looks a little lower than normal in these pics as it's slightly compressed due to how I'm parked. BUT, I'm definitely going to add another inch or so to the front and quite possibly another inch or so in the rear! I'll post when done.

Any issues w/ the weight\fridge setup on the stock TRD suspension?

No sag whatsoever with the fridge. However, it was only 30% full. So can't fully report on full load yet. I will beef up a little in front/back though as I tow and want the fridge full as well as other items back there. In due time, just on a spending freeze lately. Thx

A good workout for the Runner!

Spent a few hours with my son taking the TRD to task. We did fast desert runs, whoops, crawls, berms at high speed up/down many 50'-100' inclines & declines, twisties and pure sand. This truck certainly does just about everything asked of it. It's very confidence inspiring & predictable with what I throw at it. Not too big, not too small. I feel like I can take it anywhere. Going to lift up the front a bit soon as I could've used a touch more out there. Overall, this thing just keeps on keepin' on! Some iPhone pics...

Did you go out to the Nellis Sand Dunes?

Looked like fun.

Yep. Hit the dunes. Endless trails out there and lots of opportunity to work this thing. Had to look out for all the rental dune buggies though. Some came flying past with little warning. Only tough on the weekends really...

We should do a long day out there on a Tuesday or something midweek.

Let me know when, my rig is dirty from the rain we got last Saturday afternoon. This was after I washed both cars so I can leave on vacation knowing I had some clean rides sitting in my garage waiting for me when I arrived back.

Monday's and Tuesday's are good for me.

Beautiful rig, I'm so jealous! Looks like you are really enjoying it all!

Appreciate it! Definitely enjoying the rig. It's a blast to just pull over unexpectedly and do a little wheelin' like yesterday! Best,

Nice rig, clean and simple love it! Do you ever have any issues with the stack-able gas cans in the heat?

Thanks man! Well, we got to 100+ recently and my rotopax gas containers are definitely expanding with a slight temporary warp. You have to stay on top of it and bleed them often. Minor hassle but love their stuff a lot. I haven't yet done a long desert run with the gas on the rack in 100+ so I'll report later what happens when they're baking up top. All in all, love their system and need to get 1 more 4 gal.

Best,

Know off hand what your overall height is now with the Gobi rack? About to order one I want to make sure it fits in my garage.

Thanks!

I'm at about 76.5-77 on average depending air pressure on the TRD body/suspension. My garage is at 80" so I have a little room left for the minor lift/level from Toytec that I want to do on it. Hope that helps!

Garage is 80", she'll fit. Ordered through TrailDuty, so now we wait lol. Thanks again!
