Yeah, I know, I know.... I usually post the "purty" pics but believe me, this thing gets abused! The Utah trip... I never thought I'd get it clean again! I should've posted those. The problem with the desert is that we never have the "cool dirty action shots" as it is just dust out here. You can ride all day and looks like you simply went through a dust storm. I wish we had some real mud! The white one, well he was in front the whole time, so he stayed fairly clean, while I ate all the dust.

I appreciate the response. In that photo it does look like the front is just a touch lighter, but I like that you can no longer see the different shade of the front and rear windows. Do you think 5% up front would match the rear if I were to put 15% over the factory rear glass? It really looks perfect as is!

Yes, there is some noise but it's not a deal breaker for me. Noise is a bit subjective but I can live with the little that there is. It's only present from about 55mph and above and even then, I don't hear it much anymore. However, the wind deflector is crucial to get it right. Without it, it was terribly noisy. Properly placed it cut about 85% of it out.
I can take a bluetooth loudspeaker call at highway speeds and still hear ok. Below 45-50, it's not even a consideration.

I just did a 40mi round trip errand all highway. I was around 65-70 and didn't hear it at all. Not a very windy day though. As stated... crosswinds are where it'll act up a bit, but not terribly.
My use of the rack far outweighs a little wind anyway. Not a biggie...

TRD & the trailer all set up
Not the biggest trailer, but can haul a 2 wheel cycle and a quad with other stuff and comes with a tent that is made for the trailer. So unload, set up tent and in 20-30 minutes, have a decent temporary home just about anywhere. The power outlet in the back of the runner is great for inflating air mattresses on the spot. Also the remote start on the rig is great for when you're freezing in the tent and just have to get in the truck pre-heated or cooled.

Appreciate it man.. Can't believe you hung in there for all of it, but hope it helped in some way. It's been exactly 1 year, 1 week since I drove mine 1300 miles home from the dealer. Still in love with it. Sounds corny but it really is 99% perfect for me and what I wanted it to be. Honestly haven't had this much enjoyment out of any of my past vehicles and one of them was a '99 4Runner I had for 13 years and was no slouch either.

Appreciate the good words... Thank you. I'm with you on the wheels. Really like these and good call on Toyota. However, one of the toughest to keep clean with it's complex pattern.
