Trim Removal?

I've done some exploring and it's real simple to remove, but there's some type of flexible but strong adhesive that's holding the middle part of the plastic trim to the door's metal surface. The top and bottom parts are screwed from inside the door using a T20 screw and a regular philips screw. Does anyone know what type of adhesive to use that would adhere to both plastic and metal?

What color is the adhesive?
Are you sure it's not just double sided tape, that's what is used a lot for trim pieces, badges, etc.
Whatever the adhesive is I would suggest a piece of fishing line used as a "saw" to cut the adhesive to remove the plastic trim to avoid cracking/breaking it.

This trim had serious double sided tape on both sides, which made it near impossible to safely remove without breaking one of the tabs; there’s one tab in the center and another one at the bottom, as seen in attached pictures. If there was no double sided tape, after removing the 2 screws holding top and bottom of trim, then you slide it up and it should easily come off, but with double sided tape, I broke center ABS tab, and luckily it was still attached when I got it out, so superglue was the perfect fix for that broken tab. I got some 3M double sided tape and trim should go back in later this week.

I didn't think removing that trim was going to be easy, but it was even harder than I thought being that it had to slide up to come off, I think I would have taped them off and painted in place, I think you will have a hard time reinstalling them as well...unless you can leave the film on one side of the tape and pull it out after the trim is in place.
