TRS Mini H1 HID or 40" LED single row

The other weekend I had a small wildlife animal commit suicide by 4Runner and I now have to replace the passengers side headlight (cracked the lens). So now I have purchased a pair of new black housings, these are the DEPO brand.

Since I have new headlight, I am now debating on if I should open up the lights and install the TRS Mini H1 kit.

IF I don't I am going to install a $250-300 40" LED bar (single row, 5-10w, combo) on the roof (see Stealth LED light bar install posting) and have it 'switched' on by the high beams.

Low: Philips Xtreme
High: Philips HIR

Depends on what your most immediate need is. You're asking whether you should upgrade your low beams or add off road lighting which can only be used when off road or not around other drivers.

I'd go with the upgrade for the low beams since that will provide a greater benefit for the majority of your driving. Granted I'm assuming you don't use your high beams full time but you didn't give us much of an idea as to your needs.

I don't recommend doing a retro on the Depo lens, I baked open a pair of Depos once and the lens spiderwebbed. It looked horrible.

Good call, Gaterose - I'd use oem housings if you're going to do a retrofit. There's definitely a quality difference.

Here's a picture of the lights I found

These were brand new and shiny a few days before, then I baked em cuz they were chrome and the heat ruined the lens. It just looks foggy but you can see the cracks where the sun hits the top.

I live in a rural area and I want to light up the roadway a little better. I think the low beams are fine enough, but I am looking for additional performance on the high beam.

I would be using the MiniH1's Bi-Xenon's feature and connecting the 4R HiBeam into the Projector.

In that case, I'd say the LED bar.
