Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

I doubt it. Why expose himself like that? Again, He did not like Trump initial 3 months of office.

If there's one thing we've learned with Trump in just his time in office is that he really likes his ego stroked (and the more public the better). And it has also become obvious that he also has the tremendous need to be liked as well. You've seen examples of that when he has spoken to say a couple of members of of the left congress behind closed doors by himself. He has come out with some very surprising points of view on some current policy issues. You now see that members of his staff as well as GOP members never want him to talk to democratic representatives on his own. I actually believe that he would be a far more moderate president if left entirely on his own accord (but that's not a fact, just an opinion).

So, knowing that what could it hurt to praise him in such a public way? Of all the likely scenarios that I can think of, that seems the most likely and obvious. But again, if something comes up where it shows that there was something that Trump directly influenced to get us to this point (and hopefully beyond) I am not opposed to giving him credit.

But again, I think the best approach is to wait and see. Like I said in my previous post, we have reached this point before with no follow through.

Fair enough. My opinion is the opposite. Given the positive that has come out recently regarding relationship b/w NK and SK, including North Korea suddenly trying badly to be more Westernized in public appearances...i tend to favor SK President’s viewpoint on the RAPIDLY improving relations with NK.

Remember, not so long ago, NK was shooting rockets right over Japan and threatening Guam.

Then Trump went ballistic on NK with military show of force and huge sanctions. Trump showed he was more than willing to attack Syria DESPITE Russia support and Russia promise to attack back. (Remember, NK is an ally of Syria!)Trump showed to the world that his line in the sand is legitimate. I think that showed NK government that it is probably not wise to play with Trump and that the sanctions will not end unless NK changed course rapidly.

North Korea RAPID CHANGE IN TUNE is what is catching my eye here. NK in the Olympics?? Wow.

So, you think that all these rapid (positive) changes on the Korean Peninsula are just coincidence and that Trump had very little to do with it?

The title of this thread is amazingly triggering for those who want to rage about Trump.

I could care less if he does or doesn't get a nobel peace price.

Anyone not in a bubble see the Guliani news?

I am confused...with all due respect, why are you here in this thread?

I think that you may want to start another thread with the topic that you want to discuss.

I admitted that I could see the plausibility in that case as well. I think the problem with that point of view as well as mine is that both involve a lot of guessing and speculation. Which is why I mention that a wait and see approach is best.

There are many out there who believe that the collapse of one of their nuclear sites has a lot to do with the sudden change.

The other is what you (and I) want to believe. I try to look at things as neutrally as possible, but as I mentioned before, I'm definitely on one side of the coin in this current administration. Which consciously or subconsciously will make me want to believe a scenario that is more in line with those views. As well as with you. It's only natural. I think the important part is to know that you can believe your point of view while at the same time not dismissing an opposing point of view.

For me, it’s rather simple. SK President knows the situation the best. He’s happy with both the peninsula situation and with Trump impact = I am happy. SK President knows more than any of us armchair ambassador.

Who exactly is this "there are many out there" person or group?

The reason their site has collapsed (and it didn't just happen this week or even last month) is because the last bomb they lit off inside of it was a HYDROGEN BOMB. The big H.

I hardly view North Korea having crossed the H Bomb line of having anything to do with Trump.

An arrogant Democratic Party that was out of touch and still is cost the election.
They had DACA in there hands and dropped it so a wall could not be built! Why?? Funding..seriously. We gave Iran a plane full of cash so screw all the dreamers so Trump can’t have a win. Democrats have lost touch. You where 11 when Clinton got into office....you have no clue what a fiasco he was, moral compass similar to Trump.

A simple “no I can’t” would have sufficed, Captain Whatabouty.

I see a lot of armchair Korea ambassadors on here that claim to know more about SK/NK situation than SK President himself!!!

Are you standing in front of a mirror as you say this?

But, none of that matters to you libtards...because you guys know more about Korea than SK President himself!

Every time some mouth breather types "libtard" an angel gets an abortion, FYI.

This forum is the bubble. I look forward to the "I told you so" though the derp state Jade Helm prepper set here are likely never to step outside their cognitive dissonance echo chamber safe spaces.

As usual, nothing intelligent ever comes out of this (in)famous libtard....

Its funny how the one time someone says something positive about trump, without providing any evidence to support it, you take it as gospel. But all things negative, that do have at the least a shred of evidence (and usually much more) is dismissed as fake news. Try not to be so blatantly obtuse.

Maybe he does deserve the nobel prize, I doubt it, seriously doubt it, extremely seriously doubt it. But until someone can provide an explanation why, other than he out twittered KJU, we should all assume he is not worthy.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/north-...apsan-mountain-collapse-unusable-kim-jong-un/

"The findings by the scientists at the University of Science and Technology of China may shed new light on North Korean President Kim Jong Un's announcement that his country was ceasing its testing program ahead of planned summit meetings with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump."

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/04/26/north-korea-nuclear-programme-rocked-collapse-test-site/

"The findings come ahead of historic talks between the South and North on Friday, where the leaders are set to discuss denuclearisation on the peninsula.

The USTC study led to speculation the collapse may have informed North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s decision on Saturday to suspend the country’s nuclear testing."

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...test-site-collapse-may-be-out-of-action-china

"The findings could cast doubt on North Korea’s sincerity in announcing last weekend that it would stop testing nuclear weapons at the site ahead of Friday’s summit between the country’s leader, Kim Jong-un, and the South Korean president, Moon Jae-in."

And just to repeat myself to avoid any confusion. I am NOT saying that I believe this is the reason we are at where we are at with NK/SK relations.

You guys have to quit it with this political banter. I tried to let this thread go, but we're getting complaints left and right. Too many feelings get conjured up with these types of threads.

Do us all a big favor and take it somewhere else.
