Is it correct that you'll still need to buy the upper grill (~$160) from Toyota or are you coming up with something there too?

yes the oem upper grill will be needed or you can do a light bar. The issue with coming up with a replacement grill is it would cost nearly as much as the oem piece but most likely more.

How close to OEM is the lettering font going to be? I've seen other satoshi grilles and didn't like any of them, OEM is the best looking IMO.

He has said they are going to mold the factory ones. I would assume they will turn out just fine.

The letters are going to molded from the letters on the oem grille. And painted and matte grey/silver.
