tucktuck8's Build Thread (Penelope)

I have finally found time to start a build thread. I've always been one to have everything down in writing, so it was just time before this was started. I owned a Subaru WRX for 5 years but at 180k miles it was getting costly. I decided on a 4runner for a number of reasons, I'm sure a lot of the same reasons you guys had.

After 6 months of research I was dead set on getting >06' white v8 sport. I waited and waited and waited until one popped up and it happened to be in my area. I bought an 06 white v8 sport with 105k miles, one owner, in great condition. I have loved it ever since. I am a huge advocate of doing things yourself so this site has helped tremendously. Theme: Black and White.

Your 4runner looks great! Wanted to see if you could post a pic from the front or rear so I could see the width of the tires. Looking at running the Duratracs in that same size.

Thank you! I don't currently have one but I will look into taking one soon!

Awesome, I really like the look of it. What are your ground-fender measurements?

I was planning on taking some but haven't gotten around to it yet. I will take them within the next week.

What rear end links are those?

They are some custom ones I put together. I used the Energy Suspension end-link kit for the sleeves and bushings and then all-thread rod, heim joints, and misalignment spacers to get the offset right. They are holding up great!

tucktuck8 they look way better than the ones i extended for my rig. Could you give all the detailed info on what and where to get the parts so I can make a pair?

Look Here Post number 53 gives all the parts list. That is basically how I did mine except I used different misalignment spacers and I didn't trim the shaft sleeve. Don't go to Home Depot - they don't carry the necessary grade 8 hardware - Lowes. Got the all thread rod and him joints off of amazon.
