Tundra caliper shipped defective

I installed everything for the Tundra Brake Upgrade today and it went smoothly until I attached the line to the driver side. The male end of the hard line sunk all the way to the nut when I screwed it into the threaded female end on the caliper. It didn't hold fluid and only got firm when it sunk against the nut.

It seems as though the male piece which is sunk into the threaded female end within the caliper itself is missing. As that thing is missing the line doesn't have anything to snug against and fluid leaks everywhere.

Has anyone heard of this issue? My mechanic said he's heard of reman calipers being shipped without that little piece inside the caliper. I got my setup from Amazon "Callahan Brakes". They have a 95% positive rating so I thought I would be good to go.

I had something similar happen to me a week ago but mine was leaking fluid from where the two sides of the caliper mate. I think it was missing the gasket that goes there.

You should contact the seller. That’s what I did and had a new set within 2 days.

Except from ordering from Toyota, all calipers are remanufactured. There's always a chance someone did it wrong and is missing a part, or the threads are stripped, etc.

The seller should make it right. Mine are also Callahan, they own PowerStop.
