tundra coilovers in 4runner

Hey guys, I found a killer deal on some sway away/ race runner coilovers off an 04 tundra. Will they bolt directly into my 4runner or will I need to replace the perch with a 4runner\taco perch?

I'm certainly not saying they'd work well for our truck or not, but I'm 99% certain you'll need to swap top hat. Which is easy, using my soon to be famous "change-your-coilover-without-a-spring-compressor" method which I totally stole from a relatively unknown video off YouTube, patent pending.

You may not have to change the hats. I have a pair of older Racerunners and the hats have a dual bolt pattern. And you probably won't need to compress the springs,just loosen the preload/height adjuster until the spring is loose.

He shouldn't have to mess with the spring at all to change the top hat. They just bolt to the upper eyelet mount of the coilover. Unbolt the old, bolt on the new. I do think they may be valved a little stiff for a 4Runner. But it shouldn't be bad. Or if they need rebuilding just swap the calving then.
