Tundra/OME vs Toytec ultimate?

Im trying to decide on whether I should piece together a lift with used tundra struts and OME 880/881 rear coils, or should I just spend the money and buy a toytec ultimate lift?

I have driven a truck with the ultimate lift installed and was impressed how well it handled compared to my stock 2001 base model 4runner.

Can anyone relate to this? Will I be disappointed if I cheap out and buy used stuff?

Also it is 890/891 for the rear coils. The 880/881 coils are for the front. People are really happy with the Ultimate and people are happy with the Tundra/OME or LC lift. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

I really like my Ultimate Lift. The rear rides a bit stiff (with the 890 springs) but that happens only when the rear is empty. It rides great though with weight back there. Other than that the ride is 100000x better than stock..no more body roll around turns and no more front end dive when braking.

I love the Tundra/LC with Blisteins all around feel with my lift. It's very soft (if not a little bouncy) and not stiff at all. The only used parts I used, however, was the coils themselves. Everything else I added was bought new.

Good luck with the decision! It's the hardest part of the lift, IMO.

The best part about the ultimate lift is being able to dial in the exact height (in the front). Even after the coils settle. (all coils will settle)
