Twin Cities 4Runners?

Hey everyone. Just found this section. It is good to see there are a couple more of us out there. I got my 4Runner about a year ago. So far OME low lift and making sure all the maintenance items are current. Loving the vehicle though and have ideas for the future. I am more of an overlanding style guy as opposed to a hard core off roading person. For my experience exploring the backwoods of our native forests are what I enjoy.
I am in the south end of the cities. I see a black 4th gen lifted, rims, bumper parked at an insurance place in Apple Valley. Anyone on here? One day I'll stop and say Hi cuz it is a pretty sweet looking rig.

Hello fellow Twin Cities 4Runner owners... Just picked up my second 4Runner on Monday at Burnsville: 2015 Trail Premium in silver. I've already replaced the wheels with the TRD Pro wheels and wrapped them in 275/70/17 BF Goodrich T/A K02 tires. I'm loving the combination! I'm already eyeing a Baja Rack, CBI Industries bumper with swing out spare and jerry can holders, on board air, suspension enhancements (undecided), ARB Fridge, storage, and lighting. Ultimately I'd like to do some of the tamer Moab trails this fall and of course the powder this winter.
I've put the stock wheels and tires on Craigslist, let me know if you're interested! Hope to meet some of you folks in the near future.

Just bought my first 4Runner (Trail, red) in September - some buddies and I went on a hunting trip to Montana and took the mom wagon (RAV) up some trials it probably shouldn't have been up, so I decided to upgrade. Haven't done any mods yet, but wheels and tires, roof rack, and so on are definitely on the list. Frankly, right now I'm just happy to have a vehicle that isn't going to get its a** kicked when I take it out roaming.
Still trying to mettle through what order to buy everything. Most of what I use it for will be to get in and out of hunting areas loaded with camping gear - serious rock crawling probably isn't in my future.
Anyway - thought I'd say 'hi' as I live in the south metro; bought my truck from Burnsville too.

I just picked up a 1999 Limited. Glad to see there's a few 4runners around the Twin Cities that do a little wheelin. Just ordered Toytec's 3 inch lift with Bilstein shocks. Hoping I can find some rims and tires used. Probably will make some homemade rock rails. Looking forward to running this around Dresser and Gilbert.

It's not very close to Hudson but I am headed up to Snake River Saturday morning. I live in Woodbury and GPS puts it as a 3 hour drive. A Jeep buddy mentioned some place north of Rice Lake but I haven't discussed it further with him.

Had my runner for a couple years now but seeing a lot more around town. located just east of the twin cities. thinking about setting up a little fall run for some of the MN natives maybe up north around the range or down south by the bluffs.

FYI...it's a group of Subies that I'm tagging along with. I am the only 4Runner going along so far. The Subies welcomed me with open arms. These are good Christian folks and are pretty well-mannered.
So you will be expected to be on your best behavior if you would like to tag along. Then we can talk about doing more events and starting a 4Runner group or joining an already-existing local group.
It will be a caravan of 15-20. Then the Subie group may also meet with a Jeep group.
Let's tear up some mud!!!

Sounds fun. I just recently got all of my pinstripes buffed out after my run through Spider Lake.
Then it's definitely time to go get them dirty again!!!

I’m so glad to see people in the area with 4runners! I’ve been in the south metro area now for over a year (Dakota County), and looking for some folks to explore Minnesota with!
I wish I could come to the event on 11/17 but my only free weekend (no kids or wife), will be Veterans Day Weekend. Anyone free to go explore spider lake or some other hidden gem you all know of? My build has been so slow I don’t have any armor but still have decent tires and lift. Chime in if you’re free during that three day weekend!
My current set up is a 2015 Trail with OME lift in front, TC UCAs, SAWs in rear, Bilsteins all the way around, Nitto G2s 285/70/17, have a FrontRunner rack and XenonDepot HIDs.
Since being here my only wheeling trip were a few trails out in Badlands NP.
Also, does anyone know of any good mechanics in the Twin Cities area? I work in downtown Minneapolis and thought about swinging by Automotive Concepts? I’m getting some squeaking from the front of my suspension (bushings or maybe from sway bar?). Squeezing only happens while going over small bumps (maybe this is normal?). All recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
