Theres nothing on the reference page. Im looking for a write up, or just some advice from someone who has done this job. Is it pretty straight forward? thanks guys

remove the inner clips if your u joint has them.
Press it one way, take that cup out. press it the other way take that cup out.
repeat for the other direction. since there are 4 sides that need to be pressed out.
I had one really jammed up and i was scared of breaking the yolk so i had it pressed out at a shop. i helped the dude in the shop and it was really stuck in there, but we got it.
install the same way it came out

So was it that hard to get out because they are pressed in kinda like a ball joint? or was it rust or some other factor? basically im wondering if this is a job I want to get into myself since all I have are basic tools. I mean i can get fairly inventive. Ive changed my ball joints, coils and shocks, fuel infector, steering rack, tie rods, etc myself. But I dont want to get part way through, realize i cant get them out all the way, and then not be able to get it to a shop

mine was rusty. I have done many ujoints with the vice in the garage. and worst case you do the rear drive shaft. if you cant get it. just put it in 4wd and drive it to a shop in front wheel drive.

Haha. Ya thats what I was thinking. How often can you say you drive a front wheel drive 4runner? I think Ill wait till I drive home to wyoming to tackle this since my dad and brother will be there to help, with alot more tools. But that kinda defeats the purpose since i wanted to have them changed specifically for the drive since its 1000 miles. I dont actually know if the u joints are bad. But Ive had a high speed vibration since i bought it that I havent been able to get rid of. And with 180k and no record of them ever being changed, i figure its worth it either way
