So I bought my ICON Billet UCAs from you guys in December and got them a couple of months later. I have since put them on my 5th Gen 4Runner and got my alignment done twice. Both times the techs were not able to get every value within spec. The last time I brought it in the tech stated it appeared the arms were actually too long! I have the adjusters all the way in and he said they needed to go in further to get everything within spec.

As my truck sits the camber is within spec but the caster is out of range on the low end. The tech also maxed out the factory adjustments to achieve this.

Is it possible I was shipped the wrong set of arms? I need help, lot of money was spent on these arms and I can't get within spec.

Tried email you guys but have yet to hear.

This, unfortunately is not uncommon. [MENTION=99235]Scott@Hightech[/MENTION] can attest that the beautifully manufactured billet arms are just a tad too long. I believe EVERY Icon billet arms that have been installed at High Tech were adjusted all the way in previous to installation. There really is no other way around it. I am surprised that your tech can't get within factory specs or at least 3* caster while getting the other specs within tolerance.

He was right below 3*. Probably could get the grins a smidge further in.

While I do feel the arms are a tad long. I never had an issue not getting the alignments within the "lifted" specs. The key adjustment is that the heims and adjuster sleeves are set correctly prior to installation.

By saying set correctly do you mean all the way in by chance?

yes, but that is 2 fold, the adjusters need to be all the way in and the heims need to be as far in as possible, with the reverse threading it gets a little tricky though.

That sounds rather odd that your guy cannot get the caster back to factory specs. There are only two UCA's that that could fit your 4Runner either the FJC/4Runner or Tacoma with the only difference being the spindle taper going into the spindle. When we have our alignments done the are usually around the 2.9-3.1 mark so if you are within specs I wouldn't worry about it.

We have installed a number of these and our alignment place hasn't had any problems. If you would like to discuss it further give Icon a call 951-638-4266 and they can see if there is anything unusual about your billet UCA's.
