PTSD.....No joke, back when i Joined the Army it was called "going all nam" in reference to the "crazy Vietnam vets" we all grew up around.
Today it it called PTSD and it makes these guys loose their minds and crawl deep inside to regain purpose.
I served in the Gulf War and I ETS'd in 2001. I was fortunate to have not been affected like some of our brothers have.
I think this is just another case of a soldier returning home, and feeling out of place.
If you have not seen, touched and smelled burned, decaying, sliced, exploded, bloated, and sun cooked Human bodies it it hard to imagine what effect it has on your mind. But I can tell you I have been there, in person, with the maggots and the stench...It stays with you and makes you very aware that life is VERY temporal and we are all walking worm food. Minds break under this kind of pressure, and i think this guys is an example.
