is there someone in the know compairing this one to the budbuild hidden winch system, otherthan the obvious price difference. It seems to me the bb does not require the removal of the aluminum bumper part. I would like to findout if removing the aluminum bumper will affect airbag sensors etc. bb site has very little as far as explanation of their product.

Sorry I dont mean to pick apart the products and pit them against eachother but I am urged to satisfy my need to know proclivities...

I think it can make work, but it takes quite a bit of work. And you need to use one of those roller fairlead (as seen in one of the pic).

For one, the Budbuilt does not fit the '14+. The big advantage to this mount are the shackle mount options. The budbuilt is cheaper because it's less steal and less fabrication. It's a metal plate with U-bolts for the aluminum bumper, a simpler design.

Actually, I didn't manage to find out why it wouldn't work. One would think that the mount would bolt on to the frame the same way for the SR5/TE/LE etc (frame has to be the same under the different bumpers).

Do you think it's because the LE bumper protrudes out further, hence the fairlead wouldn't be flush with the bumper? Would spacers to move the fairlead out work or would that be too weak of a solution (i.e fairlead connectors would bend/break)? Would a roller fairlead work because of the greater depth?

I already have a synthetic rope winch (smittybilt X2O) sitting around from my previous vehicle so wouldn't be able to use a roller fairlead. If I can find a workaround, I still like this mount solution the best!

That's exactly what I would have guessed. I don't think spacer would be a good solution, but roller fairlead probably would work. I think that is shown in one of the pictures. I recommend that you contact Undercover, they are good guys, and talk to them to understand the situation. I think because the cutting of the bumper opening is a little tricky, they don't want to claim that it is a plug and play application; you would need to understand what you are committing yourself to do before proceeding.

From what I can see for the design, it should work, there shouldn't be any interference or so.

That's exactly what I would have guessed. I don't think spacer would be a good solution, but roller fairlead probably would work. I think that is shown in one of the pictures.
