Thank you! This thing is pretty quick, if I had to guess it might run high 13's with some decent tires (spins tires like crazy). It put down 260whp couple weeks ago.

Bought a CB radio on craigslist this morning.
Its a Midland from the 90's. I don't know too much about these things but I just need a antenna mount and whip. Already came with a magnetic antenna but I want something permanent.
Also thinking about wiring it to my cig lighter.
Is this good enough for just on trail communication between rigs?

A lot of people have gone ham but you can get a handheld for that. Beofung makes a reliable and inexpensive one. Just study and get the basic license and you will be good for whatever is being used on the trails.
I wouldn't advise anyone to wire into the stock wiring personally. You are asking for trouble down the line. You can either run wires straight off the battery fused for now (remember to shut it off) or you can go with a auxiliary fuse/relay panel (best solution but more $ required). I ended up wiring a fuse box in from bussman and it is wonderful. Easy troubleshooting for both accessories and stock electrical systems plus all your accessories are not clogging up the engine bay with tiny wires. One wire to the fuse box and then you can loom the rest of the wires to the cab.
Cbi has a permanent mount cb antenna and I can't remember who makes the drifter mount but the drifter mount goes on the rear hatch area.
I like the build! The wood paneling came off very nicely! I still need something to lift the front but like you cashola is not always as easy to find lol.
Edit: FYI on the cb radio. Hook it all up and mount wherever you like (the ashtray seems to be popular for small radios like yours) but remember to get the antenna tuned before using it. You need to find an swr meter or you can go to a local radio shop and the going charge is 20 bucks for a tune and they know what they are doing.

I'm gonna order a 4ft firestik and 18ft coax cable.
I was gonna wire it with a just fusible link. But I could run it off a acc switch since you make a good point (reliability). I guess it's a good excuse to start making my acc switch panel.

Picked up all of my supplies for my CB install. Took about 3 hrs with most of the time spent kept on making it look OEM.
REMOVE BEZEL AND TRIM (LOTS OF WRITE UPS ON HOW TO DO THIS)
I USED THE OEM ASH TRAY BRACKET TO SUPPORT THE CB RADIO.
I USED A DREMEL TO CUT OUT THE LOWER PART TO ALLOW THE RADIO TO FIT FLUSH.
IF USING THE STOCK BEZEL YOU MUST CUT THE REAR PART OF ASH TRAY PLASTIC FRAME OFF TO ALLOW THE CB TO SIT FLUSH.
ONCE THE CB WAS IN. I MOVED ON TO THE ANTENNA BRACKET.
MADE A QUICK MOCK UP AND STARTED DRILLING.
(FIRESTIK ANTENNA BRACKET $24.99)
DECIDED TO TRY TO MAKE THE COAX CABLE LOOK AND BE EXPOSED AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.
ALSO RAN THE COAX CABLE INSIDE THRU THE TAILLIGHT HARNESS GROMMET
RAN THE CABLE UNDER THE CARPET ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND SLIPPED IT UNDER THE DRIVER SEAT CONNECTING IT TO THE CB.
THE END OF THE COAX CABLE IS A TAD LONG NOT LETTING THE CB SIT FLUSH IN THE BEZEL ONCE CONNECTED.

Went to RadioShack and got this coax 90 degree elbow ($5.99). Without the elbow the coax cable will hit the back of the HVAC ducting.
Final product.
-I need to tune my CB I don't have a swr reader though.
Things I need to do:
-Buy snap ring pliers to adjust 5100's
-Install OME springs and 5100's
-Install new CV axle
-Get Front Tires
-Alignment
-Install Flowmaster

The 4runner rides really smooth and handling is great. Especially after the alignment even though I haven't installed the sway bar endlink yet. Also installed a ton of LED bulbs on the exterior. The reverse lights are projector style leds and man they are bright! I need to get a resistor for the the led turn signal due to the fact the flasher is blinking too fast.
Also installed the interior led kit. I suggest everyone doing this because it was only $10.
TO DO LIST:
-Weld on my Flowmaster/ Make custom tip
-Install Inch Worm Locker Gaurd ( Going to need some fab work)
-Install LED cluster lights
Picked up a new friend buggie:becky:
Got a sweet deal on this Suzuki. This is my first bike as well.
Gonna turn it into a naked bike with a lot of supermoto inspiration.

Decided I wanted to give window tinting a try. Difficulty 5/10
Total Cost with tools,tint, and solution ($30)
Simple steps:
-Clean the hell out of the window. Front,back, some of the door/ panel and inside the window channel.
Lay the tint and do a rough cut and then a exact cut. (Tons of youtube videos online about this)
Cleaning the inside
After squeegeeing the water out and making some final adjustments this is the final product. Not the best cuts since it was my first time but im overall happy with the product.
Sidenote: Ran out of tint for the passenger side so I rode down to autozone to buy some equally dark 35% tint. Upon installation I noticed it was kinda purple out of the box and the quality was really brittle opposed to a more flexible material. Next time im gonna order Pre Cut tint and that should make it a ton eaisier.
Decided to throw my Leds in the dash
-4 10mm bolts under the steering wheel area
-3 philip screws
-remove the 3 connectors in the back of the cluster carefully

Make sure the LED is on the right way if not it wont turn on.
