here are pretty much the output i'll stay and live with, don't have much time to play with the headlight. a FX or Valeo retro will be on call if i am getting tired of this OEM setup. here is my write up of the little project if anyone don't know what i did.

One thing I notice with your beam pattern (as well as mine) is that it seems to "step" down to the left. My stock beam pattern on the left is lower than right and it has 2 steps in it. Don't know if you know what I mean. Wonder if it has to do with the housing and if so, any way to correct it?
On my G35, the beam pattern is equal without any "steps".

yes, it is the design of the shield. the way they have step is to avoid blinding the oncoming traffic on our left side, that's why it has a step. on some other manufacturer who do headlights, they may have a smaller step or ECE (euro spec) will have a "V" step. on your G, if you have reflector housing, then i don't think there's a step by the cut-off, but if you do have the OEM projector off the G, then sure you will see a step like this.

Nice work man. I'd like to know... while working on your lights (all that bending and removal of the tab stuff), did you do it with the housings on or off the truck?

You can leave the housing on the truck if you planning to bend the shield, but if you prefer to remove the tap and tape it, then it has to be off the truck. Due to limited space around the headlight area, it takes awhile to fit the finger into the housing.

i bought the tape from home depot, somewhere near the air duct area, they sell those aluminum tape.
