I can't seem to sync my phone and tomtom. They say to set your phone to allow...then pair them up..then put in code 0000 when asked. I've tried 3 different phones using that code. That code doesn't seem to work. ANyone have this issue with their tomtom?

are you having tomtom find your phone? or the phone find the tomtom? you have to go on the tomtom and have it find phone and on your phone when it connects you would do the 0000 code. at least i think thats the default. did you check the list on their site to make sure any of those phones you tried are listed?

i looked for the tomtom on my phone. The tomtom couldn't find the phone. I made sure the bluetooth was on. I'll check the site for phone listings.

use the tomtom to find the phone. go to menu>mobile device>find my phone or something like that. make sure your phone bluetooth is in paired mode and ;discoverable; then on your phone you will get a pop up to ask for the code to accept the tomtom and thats when you would add the 0000

hmm...the tomtom can't seem to find the phone. I can find the tomtom with the phone...just not the phone with the tomtom. Wow...I don't even know where to look on the site.....

I think so. My phone has a bluetooth plug that I plugged in. Its a Motorola KRZR. Unless I'm doing something wrong.

ive never used that phone, but i know on mine if the bluetooth is on, its not discoverable so i have to go turn that feature on. im not sure what a bluetooth plug in is?

You know what....I think I just found it. My phone doesn't have the bluetooth chip or whatever it is built in. So..they supplied a plug in for bluetooth to work. I thought that would auto turn the discovery on...but it didn't. I was messing with the phone and saw that I can turn it on and off. I guess I'll find out if turning that on will make it work later. But I think that'll make it pair up. Thank you again for your help and links. They were very helpful!

no problem, hopefully you can get that to work. thats one of the best features on the unit. except, unless i havent figured it out, you can not change the way it rings which sucks. and always freaks me out.

really? I can't wait to hear the freaky ring! Oh...so...when you pick up the phone.....where is the mic that pics up your voice to talk to the caller?

no idea? i assume its on the head unit and thats where i direct my voice. i havent had any complaints from anyone not being able to hear me. but i always feel i have to talk louder. the voice comes out of the left speakers. works great

I have had issues with my TomTom from the beginning. The day after I bought it... It powered up and completely erased everything on the SD card including the maps. It spent 7 1/2 hours in the dealership that day. Now... TomTom will not repond to the headlights. I have yet to tackle that problem yet.

I've had nothing but great results! I even took it with my on my 36 mile canoe ride this past weekend. It was very cool! Yeah...the ring is a bit weird....but no one is complaining about a low voice or anything. If they can't fix it..they should get you a new one. Demand them to fix it...or get you a new one.

mine froze a few times but once i got the 2gb card and xfer'd everything over to it. no problems. the headlight thing you may need to turn on night mode. i turned mine off just because i dont care if it dims at night
