While hunting last week I got my 4runner off the road in the snow and far away from assistance. After blasting into a drift, I tried to back out and the backend went sideways and then jump back to put me way off the road - slope at rear was about 45 deg. Picture is when we were mostly out as I didn't want to jinx my recovery by taking a pic. We chained the front and the rear tire that was on the road leaving the chain off the 1 rear. This meant that the tire furthest off the road would not have any traction and not spin any. We treched the road to force the 4r toward road as we moved forward 4L with diff locked. Took some time but got us out.
