UV glass coating from the factory?

Came across this at the local pick and pull. Drivers and passenger front glass. Clear glass with no tint. Did 3rd gens came with a UV as a glass option?
The etch says Toyota and UV on both side glasses.
Thoughts?

I don't know what "UV" means on the Toyota glass (Ultra Visibility, or some other dubious trade slogan?), but I do know that UV light can't pass through any type of regular glass. Strictly speaking, car window and other types of common glass do pass a tiny amount of UV light, but not enough to get a tan or cause other types of UV damage.

I never saw that UV on 3rd gen glass before so I didn't know what to think of it when I did see the etch.
Mines does say Toyota but, no UV etch on it.
That's why I decided to toss it on here to see what the members have to say.
Haha not many responded so far, so I guess it's just me who never saw that before.
Never the less, I appreciate you chiming in and sharing your insight and info on the matter.

in Japan, it was standard on 1999 and above Hilux Surfs to have UV protection rated glass (windshields and windows)
