V6 or V8 and other Qs

Hey folks. Need some help here. We are looking for a 2005-2007 Limited. Couple of questions:
1. For infrequent towing of a 18' SeaRay bowrider accross the Cascades (Washington) should we go with a V6 or V8.
2. I hear the only way to get Integrated Bluetooth is with the Nav system?
3. Does the JBL have an I-POD hook up?
4. Any other opinions on what model year for the Limited is best?

Welcome... There are many threads on the V8 vs V6 thing.

1) Infrequent towing of an 18ft Searay across the mountains could be handled easier by the V8 but the V6 would be just fine. The V6, in general, gets 1.5mpg better on a day-to-day basis. The V6 does NOT require a timing belt every 90k, the V8 does. There's not a V8 driver that would rather have the V6. There's only a small handful of V6 owners that would trade for the V8. They're both great with minor plusses and minusses, it's tough to go wrong. If you plan to lift, add big tires and tow the boat across the mountains then the V8 advantage becomes bigger.
2) Don't know about that...
3) It has an 'aux in' jack in the console. It's ok. A real I-pod dock can be added.
4) '05 or newer gets you all the mechanical upgrades to the 4th gen, '06 or newer gets you the slightly different body accents, LED tailights and other minor upgrades.
