V6 or V8

I'll try to get my receipt tonight since I drove my civic to work but I am pretty sure it was right around 800 for timing belt and water pump from my Toyota dealer. (First trip to that dealer)

2WD Does It

I have had V8s and 4wds but found i really did not need them, today i have a V6 and just rear wheel drive. Less weight and less problems to worry about.

I have owned two 4WD vehicles (Toyota P/U and Isuzu Trooper) and I never had to use 4WD for anything except abusing my vehicles, which was lots of fun. I currently own a 2WD V8 Ltd that has 175k on the ODO but has zero leaks or drivetrain/subsystems issues. Except my sub-woofer. I blew it up.

I also just put some Vietnamese "Pathfinder" (or something like that - Discount Tires house tire @ $125 ea.) 265/70/R17 AT. Utterly silent on the road. Excellent Texas hill country traction and made of three modern polymers with 10 plys (an LT model) with a 60k mileage guarantee.

They don't slip on steep rocky slopes, never squeal in turns, fit perfectly on my factory 17's, are (again) silent on the road and look good. When I look at them, I think about their performance, all of it in 2WD.

You all can buy up the v6. Ill deal with my gas robbing v8.

I jad to to this moving from Ca to washington. Bmw broke down 500 miles away in oregon. I had to drive back and tow over 7000lbs Close to 8k. Its over tow capicuty over very steep mountains.

I put on the Doug Thorley headers on my 4.0 as well as a K&N air intake. Any suggestions on how to get more horsepower other than supercharger? I was considering doing camshaft next?

That's a lot of money for very little gain in such a big vehicle, since you're going to give up torque. I would supercharge it or just spray the thing if you really want it to make more power. Probably spend less running nitrous for 10x the results
