V8 4runner guys, I want to see your oil filters

I have a tundra/4runner 4.7 in my 99 Tacoma. I am using the tundra oil filter adapter. I was told that the 4runner adapter might move the filter back a little. I am interested in creating a little more space between my radiator and filter.

For those that can, I would greatly appreciate you taking a picture of your oil filter and the part it screws to showing it's relationship to the AC compressor.

Current setup:

To say space is tight, well that would be an understatement..

No pics but can confirm that the filter does not angle towards the radiator like yours currently does. Has a downward angle still but is parallel to the radiator.

No V8 here but 10 years of oil changes on em I can say he’s correct^^
Parallel to radiator and slight downward angle, one of the easier filters to service really

I have GX470 and these guys are right that the filter is parallel to the radiator pointing down at an 30ish degree angle. My filter is just above the curve in the swaybar and I cannot fit the taller 3600 filter due to the GX being more narrow.

I bring this up as I look at your first filter and thinking the 4runner mount will bring the bottom of your filter toward the back of your rig and close to your swaybar.

Interested to see how it works out...

I feel so stupid..... I have been searching for almost a week for a picture of this thing, and not once did I think to search for oil change instructions.... Wow.... : Facepalm:

Coming from a 4 cyl, it's a definite upgrade. My only regret is not going with a vvti/A750 drivetrain first time.
