V8 Drivers Regular or Premium?

It was a huge disappointment to me after spending $ 250 on three factory service manuals, for the 4runner, that there is no information on theory or function of the different sensors or the fuel management system. I would love to learn more in this area.

I use premium on my 05 SE and gets about 17mpg avg. It also almost reduces the sulfur smell significantly.
