Verizon folks, what phones do you use?

My wife and I both use the iphones 6 on Verizon. Been a little spotty here and there, but mostly better than At&T was for where we live.

I get a new phone every year. My work requires it, and they pay for it, so I don't question it. My account, my phone, they reimburse. In that defense, I do use it a whole lot more than the average person and my 11 month old 6 plus was looking pretty rough by this time.

I actually got one used off a guy on ebay. It looks brand new, and I definitely got a decent deal. I'm happy with it, it's a great phone!

I think that if you get Note 4, then that should lasts a while.
Note 4...get it if in your budget...you won't regret it.

got myself a Note 4 off swappa. great buy, in mint condition. tossed my old droid razr maxx HD in a drawer as a backup if i ever need.

i feel like i was living in the 90s with my old phone. this new one is sick! put a tempered glass screen protector on it, a UAG case, and applied a nite ize steelie mount to the case for the vent mount portion already in my truck.

I have a question for you guys...with Activation Lock on devices these days, are you guys afraid of buying USED phones from Craiglist or other individual sales? In other words, the original owner can easily sell you the phone and then turn around and report it as lost and lock up the phone...that individual may have insurance on it; thus, he would benefit financially from reporting it as lost. If so, then the phone's serial is blacklisted on carriers. Basically, you have an expensive paper weight.

Because of such, I will only buy new phones from trusted sources OR used phones from trusted sellers.

If they won't meet you at the store to activate the phone they aren't worth it. Simple as that.

But, is the phone serial with the carrier or with your Google / Apple account?

If the phone is under a new Google / Apple ID, then does it automatically disappear from the previous owner's Google/Apple account??

Dunno that. But I would think you'd have a better case having your local store do a complete wipe and reset on the previous owners phone and set up your new information than just buying it from someone and have it set up yourself.

On a side note, pretty depressing to have to think about stupid shit like this.

Thanks for the link. I got an Otterbox Defender case, and a ProClip car mount for it with the power plug built in, so it powers up when I slide it in to the mount. I was wanting to get the Qi charging back, but, as cool as it would be to have the wireless charging, for me, the benefits don't outweigh the cost. Maybe I will reconsider in the future, but I like what I have for now.

Here's the link for the ProClip mounts. They are pricey, but to have it mount in my car nice & neat, is worth it.
