Hi guys, this is my first post on here and I do apologize if posting ads is frowned upon on these boards. I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on this particular 4Runner I am considering buying.

Used 2006 Toyota 4Runner 4WD SR5 w/3rd Row SUV For Sale in Vienna, VA | Vin: JTEBU14R560086342

2006 SR5 with 31,xxx miles. Asking price is 18k
One owner, no accidents but it looks like he/she didn't maintain it much(only according to the carfax)

I went out and test drove it and everything seemed fine. Gonna have my buddy who's a mechanic come check it out tomorrow as well.

My only concern is the age of the car. It is a 2006, and I know there isn't a timing belt but is there anything else I should be worried about that generally needs to be replaced after a certain time interval? Any reason to stay away or be worried about getting a 4Runner?

Wow, that's low mileage! If your mechanic buddy gives you the thumbs up I say grab it!

If it passes inspection I'd change all the fluids, lube the zerks, and begin enjoying your new 4Runner.

That's a good deal. Probably belonged to some retirees that just used it for errands around town. Scoop it up!

Seems like a good deal. Only thing is Koons has a lot of add on fees. As for the "walk out the door" price. I wanna say Tysons Koons had over 1k in fees, i walked away from a 4runner there as a result.

If you wanna take it off road there is an insanely good lifted truck (same Shadow Mica color) in the Classified section i think in Charlottesville.

I have an SR5 basic with only a sunroof and I have steering wheel controls? I would ensure the title is clear and then I would go for it.

ABSOLUTELY check this! I bought my '07 from a dealer and it completely slipped my mind to cycle through 4hi, 4lo, etc before I drove off the lot. Turns out I had two actuators that were bad. The good news for me was that I found out the previous owner had an extended warranty that followed the truck so it only costs me $50 versus about $3,000.

I have an SR5 and I do have steering mounted controls. Maybe they were an added option.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am trying to get it for 18k out the door. the salesmen at Koons are rarely willing to negotiate though... savages.

Flip down the driver side sun visor and follow the instructions to engage 4L.
