Very lightly smoked light tint

I was trying to find some vinyl tint to cover my heads and tails, but everything I see seems really dark. I dont want them to look black. I just want them to look very lightly tinted and also have some protection from fading. Has anybody ever seen lightly tinted vinyl? As far as what shade im looking for, think Sport headlight vs SR5 headlight. Just enough to tone down the chrome but not enough to kill the light output. like the late model gx470s. If you google lens film, there all look too dark. Painting is not an option either, it always looks too dark in my opinion.

believe it or not, I cant find them making a taillight cover for the 4th gen. The lightest headlight covers might work but then im SOL for the taillights? somebodys gotta have pictures of a light colored tint on the forums somewhere

Have you considered doing the black our head light mod except instead of black spray paint use spray on tint that you can find at the auto store... then get some plastic sealant and put that on the lens upon reassembly.

that would actually probably look pretty good, but I would rather not go through all the trouble of taking them apart and resealing them. Plus I like the idea of putting a film on them to protect them from doing the "yellow fade" which will drive me absolutely insane once it starts lol.

Why not just get some uncut tint from lamin-x and cut it yourself? Its really easy to apply with a heat gun and some soapy water

VHT spray tint? YouTube that and it will show you what one coat looks like before they finish off with four coats and clear coat.

how difficult is it to cut a piece that doesnt look like S@#t haha. I feel like i might butcher it but maybe theres a trick to cutting it that I dnt know about?

Well you apply it first, and with heat you can stretch it and work it really easy. Then you take the excess and fold it over the edge, and just run a razor blade along the edge of the light. Works perfectly.
