Wanted to throw something out there for prototyping. How about a storage box for where the factory spare goes for those of us running a rear bumper? Would love to put the spare parts/tools I would rarely ever need there. Could use the factory spare tire hoist to secure it.

Here is kind of what I am talking about for a Westy and then something someone made for a 3rd gen. Feels like what you design could be used for a ton of Toyota's.

Designed to maximize space in the rear cargo area. Mounts at the height of the rear seatbacks to allow for an unobstructed view when unloaded.

• Bolt together assembly
• Coated in a 2 stage satin textured black powder coat
• Includes assembly and mounting hardware
• Includes tie-down points
• Requires two Rear Window MOLLE Panels to mount
• Second row seats will not recline.
• Made from .125" aluminum

Yes, those are powder coated. If you order bare metal, it will still need to be coated in some way (usually people order bare metal to have them coated locally and/or paint matched).
