Cracked oil filter bracket assembly

So, I was pulling into my parking spot last week and noticed a bunch of oil on the ground under my engine. I drive a 4th gen with a v8. It was leaking from what appeared to be the oil pressure switch so I replaced it. After installing the new part it was leaking like a drunken sailor. And because its really too cold up here in Canada I just took it into the shop...

Turns out that the oil filter bracket assembly is *cracked*. When I brought it in I was assuming it would have been a bad gasket, like this thread here, and others. But nope, the part needs replacing.

They called around locally and found the part is discontinued. Does anyone know how I can go about finding a replacement part?!

Part number is 15609-50130... seems completely ridiculous that the deal is not selling these anymore.

Advise?

I searched high and low and I can't find what you need, except a possible source from overseas if you want to try that, probably the worst part about ordering it from them is the shipping time, only other option it seems is trying to find one at salvage yards.

Thanks for the link. Actually my wife found that for me last night before bed. I ordered the part for ~$45 CAD and the corresponding gasket for $1 CAD. Shipping was around $30 CAD all said about $85 bucks. Great prices, but damn is it a long wait! I won't get it till Jan 28th! I am basically without my daily driver for a month... Good thing I work from home.

This blew my mind that it's possible to have a discontinued part. Like WTF?! I sold a 98 4runner when I bought this 2 years ago. I owned it for almost 10 years and never once had a discontinued part issue. I miss my old 3rd gen, was probably the best vehicle I'll ever own. Ever

I'm guessing it was discontinued because not many if any ever needed replacing, this is the first time I ever heard of anyone having to replace theirs.

There are a few items for 4th Gens that have been discontinued.

Ya it's not a common part to break, but the 2UZ-FE is used across many vehicles at Toyota, I'd have expected better support... I am glad I am installing a new part though, hopefully it will come early
