Victory 4x4 sliders and blitz bumper review

I thought Id share my experience with the victory 4x4 products.

I was attracted to these products due aesthetics, function, cost and powder coating.

1. Strike Sliders
4Runner Rock Sliders | Strike | 3rd, 4th & 5th Gen (96+) - Victory 4x4
- I was looking for a bolt on option with plates for my kids to step on. I also appreciated that I could use them for a 5th gen as well if my vehicle goes caput or I decided to sell them.
- They get little slippery in the winter, so I used some hockey tape around the back corner and my kids havent had any problems getting in and out

Opportunities for creative solutions
- Some of the predrilled holes in the frame didnt exactly line up with the predrilled holes in the sliders. Theres lots of places to bolt in, but after 15 years, my predrilled holes were a little corroded and packed with dirt. I did have to drill out some of the holes an additional 3-5 mm to get it to line up with the holes I used

Front Blitz bumper
- 4Runner Front Winch Bumper | Blitz | 4th Gen (03-09) - Victory 4x4

Looking for a relatively lightweight winch mount option and recovery points.
- I was surprised that the bolts holding my crash bar on after 15 years werent seized and I could get them off
- I used a harbor freight 22 inch lightbar (It was a little too long so I had to cut down the side mounts with a hack saw to get it in and after that fit perfectly)
- I used a smittybilt gen 3 9.5k winch. The predrilled holes to mount the winch in were tight, but a 16 mm socket barely fit. An Impact 16 mm socket would not fit

Opportunities for creative solutions
- So this is likely more of a 4r issue than a bumper issue, but because of the top of the front bumper, its really tough to access a winch. Particularly this one, where you have to plug the controller in. A wireless winch or remote may fix this, but this was my solution

Another user complained that the Victory "V" logo impaired his light bar. I have not appreciated this at all and I have a continuous lit up area

I received the Strike sliders I ordered this week and plan on installing today. They got to me faster than I thought they would, ordered May 26th.

Hopefully they'll go on no issue as It's going to be hot today. Heck, it's hot here all summer.

I just received my Blitz bumper and have been looking at light bars. Is this lightbar the 2 row spot/flood combo from HF? How's it holding up?

No issues through a winter/ rain etc. CAnt beat the price. Im not an expert on lighting so cant comment on how it compares to much more expensive lightbars (maybe theres a youtube video comparison), but for my purposes works awesome. Very happy I was able to get it to fit, because I wouldnt have spent much more for a light bar. The harness that went with it, made it for very easy install and set up (in line fuse already - just had to route it to the battery terminals and the cab for the on/off switch

Good luck! Yea - being in SC your frame should be in better shape, so should have more "options" in terms of the bolts fitting in and not being stripped out. Id just have something on hand to try to drill out the holes a little bigger if they dont line up perfectly (I used a bolt extractor bit)

I installed yesterday and had a bit of a time. My frame is in great shape so no worries. Taking out the plastic plugs (I don't know what their called or why they were there) was a hassle. Once I got the driver side slide positioned I started putting in bolts at the rear loosely and moved to the front to find some are not lining up correctly. Unbolted all but one in the back trying to position all correctly and it turned into a fight. I did this in several variations and ultimately saw that the forward vertical frame support was never going to line up. The shotgun side vertical support was better but that's the side you have to drill anyway according to their install video.

Long story short, Their on, I'm beat up and sore, and next weekend I'll have decided how to finalize the vertical front supports. Holes on drivers side are not even close enough to fix so probably end up drilling new.
