Vinyl wrapping roof before rack install

Hi everyone!

New to the forum. Just got my 20 pro in Super White. Removing the OEM rack and replacing it with SSO. I got the idea of wrapping the roof in Vinyl (black) after watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M15cC1Vsb0s

Being fairly new at this, I wanted to get feedback regarding this idea. What are the cons of doing this? I think aesthetically it looks good but I want to think this through before I get it done.

I planned on doing the same thing to my 2020 Pro when my SSO rack arrives.

It's one way to bring more heat to the roof due to it being black. The white color reflects off more of the sun light and heat.

The only wrap I would do is have someone due Suntex or Xpel.

I considered Xpel since every other car i've had has had Xpel. But I think that large of section of PPF would be substantially more expensive than automotive vinyl.

I just know that the area under the rack won't be getting washed and waxed very often, so it just needs to protect the finish from that aspect. Who knows though, I may still use Xpel.
