Walmart super tech oil

I have been hearing good things about the Wally World super tech oil and the super tech filters I also have look at the MSDS on the oil. Just want to see what you guy thought and who all has run it and how long if you are running it.

Lets keep the neg input down unless it is related to the oil when you used it.

And we all know oil is oil and you nee to change it some where between 3k-7.5k

check out bob the oil guy's web page and forum, anything you ever needed to know about oil and alot you won;t really care about.....

that oil looks like it might be made by exxon mobil and distributed by warren depending on where you live.

Yeah read most of the stuff from Bob. I am going to give it a go and try it out I going to sent my Mobil 1 to the lab and get it tested and do the same with this stuff and see where I am at.

I used the Walmart brand oil in my 2000 XJ (Jeep Cherokee) before it I traded it to my uncle because it blew up. Having said that, it did have 211,000+ miles on it with the last 50,000 miles or so on a cracked head. And believe me, it wasn't driven easy...Death Valley, Pairie City, Hollister and various other trails.

The oil was changed every 5K or so, but I never have used a Walmart brand oil filter.

Several years ago I worked at a shop that builds racing Toyota engines. They used Walmart oil after rebuilding engines to break the engine in on the dyno. It was then drained and the engine shipped to the customer. Never has a problem with the oil and there were some very high horsepower turbo motors.

I'd say use the oil, save quite a few bucks

BUT, don't use the Walmart filter. I only use OEM

Ok so I just checked the price point on the super tech at the local Walmart. The price on 5 qt jug it was only a buck cheaper than Mobil syn and the Dino o was 2 bucks cheaper. The two most highest priced oil there was M1 and ST. I guess from the price point need to just grab the M1.

I like the math. say you change the oil 3X a year, you'd save a grand total of $3.00 using the house brand. if you keep the vehicle 15 years that'd be $45. Considering a 2013 4Runner costs somewhere in the $30,000 range I'll stick with the name brand.
