sr5 has more options than base model....limited has more options over sr5. limited is the higher end one..back then it cost more money

Ater 10 years or so they have evened out in price, the pre-01 SR5 may be more value than its limited counterpart due to the 5 speed, and the limited came with leather and if not maintanied properly will rip and therefor have less value.

Look for a "Highlander" or the later "Sport" model as these are a hybrid of the workhorse SR5 model and the fancy upscale Limited editions. They also get that sweet hood scoop snout.

I suggest you look at at least a 1999 model, since the 3rd gen went through a little freshening during that year (all this information is in the link posted above), which continued up until 2002 when the 4th gen was introduced.
