Water/oil leak

Hey all,

Need some help with my 94 4runner, 22re, 135000 miles. It started to blow smoke out of the tail pipe Grey/white. Only when it first stars it blows it out for about a minute or so and than stops it. She runs fine, but I did notice some leak by the exhaust manifold gasket it looks like oil but not for sure, any help on what it could be?

P.S. It some times stars rough.

Check for water in the oil also a rusty tipped spark plug. Sounds like a head gasket problem. It could also be a bad injector.

There is no water in the oil and spark plugs look fine. Did a compression check all good I also pressurized the heads and everything looks fine too. How do you check injector?

There are resistance measurements given in the service manual. Are any of your plugs a light color? This may also be just a temperature related problem related to cold weather coupled with a problem in the cold start system.

Thanks, I will check the measurements given in the service manual. I will also check the plugs again. It is colder than usual. I am going to run the 4runner for a while and wait for warmer weather see if anything changes.
