Water pump bolts / studs

Tried to replace the water pump today on an 03 v6, bought the gates one off rock auto. It did not come with any bolts/studs on it. Should I get an aftermarket set of studs from advance auto? Unfortunately got as far as installing it and then the new radiator and putting everything back before realizing they were mia.

Why not just re-use what's there?

I don't see how to remove the bolts/studs from the OE was re pump. There's no knuckle or bolts/washers holding them in. I tried to turn them with a pair of pliers but they didn't move and I started cutting into the bolt. Otherwise I'd love to use the originals

Just read another post about mounting 2 of the nuts onto the studs and then backing them out. I'll give that a whirl tomorrow morning and see how it works out. Couldn't believe that's how everything shook out today
