As the title states. Here are the requirements:

1. Made from any country except the USA (Please don't start an argument on what is better).

2. Priced between 10k-15k.

3. Does not cost an arm and a leg to repair if something goes wrong.

4. Can be a coupe, sedan, or convertible.

5. Has to be somewhat fast or at least be tune-able to make it fast. Just 0- 60 in the 5.5 sec. range or so is fast enough for me but the faster, the better.

6. Hopefully less than 75k miles.

Some vehicles I was looking at are: E46 330ci/i, Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo (hard to find), Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 (again, hard to find), Nissan 350z, Mazda RX8, Audi A4 (B7).

Any other suggestions? I am in no rush to buy. Thanks

Hands down the most fun car I've ever owned. I've had a WRX, STi, E46 M3, two G35s, and a few others. For your price range, you could put a blower on it and fix the only real issue the car had. Get one with the 2.0 not the 2.2 They had a better suspension setup and the extra 1000 rpm redline. I think 2002 is when they went to the glass rear window instead of plastic and still had the 2.0. A nice low mileage one shouldn't be too hard to find. Maybe go for a hard top too. They look sick. Black or white with red leather = fap fap fap.

You read my mind! As I was reading the OP's post, I was thinking about my old S2000 I used to own and how I miss it. It was by far the most fun car I've ever owned. When I started riding sport bikes and doing track days, I wanted a vehicle that was just as fun to drive as my motorcycle. I ended up buying a Honda S2000 and it fit the billet. I bought it after saving up a ton of cash from a deployment overseas. I paid $10,500 cash for it back in 2010 from an exotic car dealership, with 60,000 miles on it in pristine condition.

I babied that thing to death. Garaged it for the winter and drove a beater 97 Dodge Dakota. The car never touched snow or salt. Although I babied it tremendously, it was unfortunately the only vehicle I've owned that was just attracted to damage. The car had bad karma.... I ran over a dog with it and messed up my front bumper once. Another day I was driving down the road and some guy mowing his lawn kicked up a rock and cracked my windshield right as I was driving by. Total freak accidents. The dog was unavoidable. Just weird stuff. I owned it for two years until I sold it in 2012 to buy a 4runner. The 4runner was just more practical for me after I graduated college and couldnt afford to buy a 4runner and keep the S2K. I vowed to buy another one eventually as I will. By the way I sold the car for $9800 which wasn't bad considering the miles I put on it over 2 years.

I loved me some German cars after my 20 year stint with building American muscle cars including a Porsche 944 and 911 Turbo but my Beemer M3 was a super fun car and still miss it the most. I have a speed affliction though and had to get rid of it as I was north of 150 mph too many times to count ..:lalala:

You can pick up a pretty nice E46 M3 in the price range your looking for these days and not that hard to find a certified or babied one.They are out there as I found one that had 32k miles on it for 18 grand and was residing in a 6 car garage in the Atlanta burbs a few years back. Her father gave it to her for a college graduation present and she was scared of it's power and drove her Escalade.lol

Sounds like you want a GT Fox V8 'stang from the late 90s/early 2000s.

With a cheap racing suspension upgrade, regearing, new headers, tires, and some lightening, it will smoke everything else on the list you mentioned and will be pennies on the dollar to operate.

All of your choices will be a nightmare of expensive parts to fix and all have significant mechanical issues as they get older, despite being made outside of the USA.

Great choices guys. I love the M3 Harper...great looking vehicle. As far as the s2000, the only one that is within my price range is a 2001 with 62k miles for $15k. Would I be wrong to say that most s2000's are dogged or am I just stereotyping from what I see on the road? Seems everytime I see one, it's some teenager driving it like he stole it!
 
^ There is a 94 840 that has 105k miles on it that list for $12k. Pics look nice but am worried about the maintenance costs.
 
I've always been a fan of the 8 series, big engine, slick lines and you don't see many of them and when you do they are rarely modded... which to me means your more original. but as the OP stated maint. cost probably not the cheapest

LOL! I'm surprised you said that.... Most the S2000's I saw in Indianapolis where I used to live were owned by older males (mostly a lot older than me). I typically didn't drive like a douche in the S2000 either. Much like motorcycles though, every time I saw another S2K on the road, I expected to get some sort of wave or nod from the other driver. If you do decide to get an S2000, I'd stay away from any S2000 forum though. From what I've seen a lot of guys on those forums are tools. There seems to be a big fight between a naturally aspirated S2000 and forced induction S2000. I personally, liked mine just the way it was, stock.

I highly recommend it. It's fun as hell to drive, sticks to the road, corners exceptionally well, gets decent gas mileage (around 28-30), and is easy to fix (if you even need to repair it in the first place). I would say $15K for a 2001 with 62K miles is way too much. I'm sure you can find a better deal than that, you just gotta be patient. I ended up driving 4 hours (8 hours round trip) to get mine.
