weird buzing noise

Sometimes when i turn my truck off i hear a humming or buzzing noise coming from the engine. I think it might be electrical but i am not really sure. It last for quite a while sometimes. any ideas or suggestions?

I can't be sure what it's coming from but it's most likely electrical like you said. HID kits produce a pretty loud buzz because of this. Do you have access to a voltmeter, so you could poke around the engine bay and see if you can find anything?

Actually after doing some research on this and other boards it seems like that noise is nothing to worry about. It's coming from the box right behind the battery right? I heard some trucks have the noise and others don't. Mine does and i've come to accept it keep looking around, but I think thats the consensus.

Its from your evap canister. Its normal

It could be your antenna. Mine is broken. It doesn't go up or down but the motor still trys to move it and it makes noise. Just a thought.

x3 on the EVAP canister.

It is more of a clicking than a buzz though so I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing. I know that it is definitely coming from the black box closest to the engine firewall on the driver's side.

My '97 did it but has yet to show up on my '99.

I had a 96' Tacoma that did that, never found out where it was coming from, but also never had any problems with it. Mine was loudest after I got home from work and turned the truck off, it was wierd.
