weird sound in first gear

hey guys, I have a small issue (i hope) thats kinda odd... i have a 95 4runner manual, and when i am taking off in first gear i hear this water swishing sound coming from behind the stereo area.. as soon as i shift into 2nd gear the sound goes away.. anyone have any idea as to what this might be? thanks in advance, i appriciate any help i can get
