After a couple of weeks of hard starts and having to give it gas to start on my 97 limited, I was out in a hard rain last night and now the darn thing starts without a problem!?!? Any ideas on what it could be?
Had you just filled up with gas when the hard starting happened? I doubt the rain outside had anything to do with making your vehicle start easier. How many miles are on your rig? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Its possible your pump might be getting weak or a connection to it is not tight. If the problem has resolved itself its going to be hard to determine what caused it.
Sounds like you just had a tank of bad gas. It took some time for it to work itself out but now things seem to be good. If it ever happens again start with a bottle for octane booster or fuel system cleaner.
