Weird unknown starting problem

I went to start my truck this morning and it makes a loud racket, and acts like its locked up but it was fine when I drove it home last night. I don't have a clue what it is!! Battery has plenty of juice. And a couple times when I tried it turned over for about a 10th of a second then stopped. It's like somethin has it jammed. It a 97 4 runner 6 cylinder. Any knowledge will be appreciated. Thanks!!
