Wet Okole Group Buy!

FYI - the guys over at Tacomaworld.com have put together a group buy with Wet Okole to get 20% off and a free center console cover. On page 5 or 6 they mention how all Toyotas are in for the discount so we can all take advantage of the savings. Pretty cool, sorta looks like the sign up ended on the 8th? Not sure of the significance of that. Never done a group-buy. Sorta wish we did more of them on here, but it's cool.

Even with the 20% off though, still spending like $450 give or take $25 per (full) set. Not too bad though. I'm considering it. I do wonder though, those covers look kinda sloppy in some of the pictures, you figure that's the covers themselves, or just shoddy installation?

I've read through the thread and all you have to do is order by Feb. 20th to get the deal. There's a number on the first post to order and more clarrification throughout the posts on the deadline.

Wet Okole are in my opinion the best covers out there (granted I've never seen them in person or owned a pair, so my opinion may not matter much); some of the folks have sport seats which more or less curve around you on the sides like racing seats and I don't think Wet Okole distinguishes between the sport seats and standard seats for the Tacomas. With the curvy seats you end up with a little webage (just made up that word) on the sides. BTW, I used to have an 07 TRD sport Tacoma and those seats are not meant for wide shoulders; kind of uncomfortable on long drives.

i hate that you brought this up because i really really want some but don't have the cash. But wet okole rarely does group buys so i would do it if you can get it. Last time someone tried to do a group buy they had to have at least 80 rows i believe ( a row is just the front or the back so 2 rows a truck).

i bought my wet okoles couple months ago, and paid almost 600 bucks for it, front and back seats, also they have pockets for the front seats, and they even include the center console cover for free, i wonder when did they start changing for that?

My '04 has the Oak (?) interior and I've yet to see pictures or hear from a member who also has the oak and Wet Okoles. I would like to match the WO's middle section color with the interior of my rig, but don't know how the colors would match up. does anyone else have the Oak or Taupe or Tan interior?

By "Oak" do you mean the predominantly tan interior? Taupe, or whatever Toyota calls it?

If so, I already matched swatches in my own rig - and while they're not a 100% match by any means, under most medium/low lighting conditions I found the color 235 to be a pretty good match, and the charcoal (color 11) seems to fit in ok too. That's just my opinion though, but if you order those swatches first and compare yourself, you might agree.

I think they are a great product, but they seem overpriced for foam seat covers.

I was going back and forth on the charcoal and tan for the middle section. What are your thoughts on all black with tan piping?

P.S. Just got my Daystar lift installed today and i'm LOVING the hell out of it!
