Wet Okole's Installed

Suppose I could have added to my original post regarding color, but I couldn't figure out how to change the title of the thread...:redbrick:

Behold my newly installed Wet Okole covers. Original interior was tan leather and earlier I had posted questions regarding best color match. I ordered 3 swatches - #17 (Tan), #235 (Mocha), and #100 (Taupe). Easy choice really - it was #100. They look like a quality made product - I'm hoping that the velcro doesn't get frazzled, and it will be interesting how tight they remain after some use. All in all, I just wanted some good protection to preserve the leather, since it was immaculate when I purchased the vehicle.

Install time was a couple hours, and some cursing here and there. The only thing that was a bit of a roadblock, was the little bungy thing holding a little slack on the rear middle belt. I had to snip it to get the cover underneath the seat back. Impressions so far is that I think I'm going to like them!

Also like the way the whole interior came together with the addition of the black Weather-Tech digital fit floor mats too!

I can snap off more pics if anyone is interested.

Looks great! I'd love to pick up a set myself. Can you post some pics of the rear fold down console closed and folded down?

Also maybe the headrests & headrest posts?

Thanks, it came out nice.

I'll try and get few up. One thing that I remember from their installation videos, is how tight of a fit it can be with the armrest cover in place. It's like 4 layers of neoprene in an already tight pocket.

Looks sweet. I will be doing this soon, my front drivers seat is taking a beating.
Did you order online or call?

I ordered online (Wetokole.com) - then I followed up with pics of my seats so that there wasn't any misunderstanding about the seats that I had.

I called them a couple days later just to ask about shipping dates, and maybe rushing my order. They don't do "expedite", but take & build orders as they come in. After receiving them though, I did see that they wrote the words "RUSH" on the order, because I was wanting them for a trip next week. Ordered 8/6 - received 8/23. Much better than expected..:biggrin2: and much better than ordering through Autoanything.com. It's my understanding that those distributors don't send in every order immediately - they wait and submit in larger numbers, but on regular intervals.

A few more photo's

A few more detailed photos as requested....

Fold-down armrest area. There is quite a bit of slack in the seat-back piece that occupies the opening of the armrest - a little sloppy.

The armrest down and the front "door" opened up to allow the pullout cup - holders/tray. I think this is the correct install direction for the cover. Velcro seam to the inside when folded up and on top when the armrest is pulled down. Seems to go on either way.

Armrest up. It's a TIGHT fit. I'm not even sure it's closed all the way. We'll see how long I keep it on.

Back of passenger side/front headrest. A little note as I now realize I didn't get a shot looking down on the posts coming out of the headrest adjusts...the seat back pieces have openings that tuck very nicely under the little plastic post locks/adjusters.

Front of passenger side/front headrest.

Same theme (installation and finish) for the other headrests.

Back seat pockets (Optional)

Hope that helps GaterRose....

I put a set of Wet Okoles on my Mazda Protege5 back when I bought it...11 years ago. When it was time to trade my little shaggin' wagon in, I took the (still in good condition) covers off and the seats looked NEW.

Best investment/mod I made on that P5. Now if I can save 300 bucks up, I'll put some on my 4runner too. :thumb3:

?? I'm confused, there are pics of the rear fold down armrest...not sure what you mean by fold down console?? Are you talking about the main console up front?

Don't worry (s)he is a spammer quoting my post earlier asking for the pics. Seems like t4r is getting overrun by this type of spam

Ahhh..thanks. I'm a little slow sometimes. After I posted here to "her" question, I noticed the same in other threads...:AK47::spam2:
