What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

Just picked up 08 Sport with 120k for for $14k with 3/36k bumper to bumper warranty. I've been searching for about 3 months for a good deal with low miles. I found this one 3 miles away and finally pulled the trigger. I've wanted one for about 20 years and it finally worked out.

Bought a Galatic gray 07 v8 4wd limited with 62k miles for $20k at a dealer in Houston in July. One owner, dealer maintained, clean carfax, etc.

Probably could've gotten it cheaper, but its always harder to wheel and deal when you aren't local to the vehicle.

What? That would have been over 14 grand in Georgia. I can't find any 4x4 4th Gens with less than 130k under 15k especially a v8.

lol yea, that would be around 14k here in Indiana too..I know how you feel!

bought a 2005 sr5 w/ 114k miles for $8.5k...It did have a lot of surface rust on the frame that i've had to clean up, and it needed a new lift gate ($700).

04 sr5

First post and I just got an 04 SR5 4WD with just under 165k for $4500. It's in great shape. I did discover a sticking brake caliper that warped the rotor. That set me back another $400 just 3 weeks after I bought it. Still very happy.

Damn. Nice find. I wish they were that cheap in my area...the cheapest SR5 I found was $8k with 130k miles on it and tons of rust underneath....

My '04 Sport 4WD was $10k with 160k miles and right at KBB.....

How much have you been quoted for the repaint?

Sorry for responding back to your question so late. After getting a few estimates the most affordable estimate is $1600.00 for an all over paint job. I'm getting it done next week finally.

2005 white limited 2WD (navi/backup camera) with 126K for $7300. Had to replace the Rear main seal and PDR the rear tailgate so that put the truck to $8K. Love the truck, but really wish it was 4x4!

We picked up our new grey 4Runner Trail a week ago today. It was a demo with only 1,299 km (807 mi.) on it and had been fitted with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires. The dealer offered to switch back to the standard A/T tires but we said 'no thanks' as we like to go off road. Cost was $47,819 Cdn, about $37,800 US plus the usual extras for extended warranty, clear coat, documentation, etc.. The truck seems to be loaded, with nav, sun roof, running boards, and other goodies. It sure is a great change from the '15 Jeep Wrangler we traded on it, much quieter, less wind noise, better handling and better riding on rough roads. Took our first long drive on Sunday, up on the twisty Hwy 1 into the mountains and across to Merrit, BC for lunch, and home again on the fast 4 lane. We love it!

04 SR5 112k Miles

I just picked up my 04 SR5 with 112k miles for 7200. It needs struts and a new drivers seat (bottom cushion is broken) but otherwise its in great condition. Once I get a new seat from a junk yard (or a member from the forum!!) it should be good to go!

I'm seeing dealers post 2004 limited V8 4x4 for as much as $17,000 and they have around 150,000 miles. Are people really paying that much for a stock 12 year old vehicle? I've seen private sellers sell theirs for around 12K but they weren't in the best shape but they do still sell in 1-3 days. How are people finding theirs?

I found mine on Craigslist. I made a trip from the panhandle of FL to Orlando and down to Miami looking at a bunch of 4Runners and GX470s--there was nothing in my locale. Nearly all of them that were advertised as 'private seller' were actually dealers, and most of them were in much worse condition than the ad indicated. The one I bought was the first one I looked at, was one of the few that was a private seller, and was the only one accurately depicted in the ad. I wish I hadn't wasted the rest of the day and another hundred dollars in fuel driving down to Miami looking at other vehicles, but I just 'had to see.' Oh well.

My '08 SR5 V8 cost ~ 20K in 2011 when it had just over 20K mi on it.

Has ~ 46K mi on it now; it's still like driving a new vehicle. No idea what they are going for now but I wouldn't accept what I paid for it !

Just bought my 2006 sr5 with 160k miles for $8500. The interior is spotless and it's been all highway miles. I think it was a pretty fair price.

Just bought an 03 Limited V8 with 188,xxx for $6500, needed TB service had original TB on it . Into it for around $7300 afterwards and it's really solid black on grey leather

Just bought a 2007 Limited V8 with 127k on the clock for $14k. All dealer maintenance, no rust, like new condition. I can't wait to get it lifted and get it muddy!

I picked up an 06 sport with 173,000 miles on it a few weeks ago.
Family owned (carfax shows 3 owners, but went from dad, to brother, to other brother, all living on the same piece of property), super clean carfax with every fluid, filter, gasket, and plug changed at the dealer on the dot. Brand new set of Duratracs. Very little under carriage rust, no major dents or dings. Paid $8,800 for it just a little north of St. Louis
